HeartHero is a medtech startup redefining emergency care through an ultra-accessible automated external defibrillator (AED). With a mission-first brand rooted in high-stakes urgency, the team needed a cinematic, intelligence-inspired digital experience that communicated impact, clarity, and purpose.

We designed and developed a dark, cinematic MVP website in Webflow and refined their visual system into a cohesive UI language inspired by classified mission aesthetics, bringing emotional weight and narrative flow to a life-saving product.

HeartHero is a disruptive medtech startup redefining emergency care through the world’s most accessible automated external defibrillator (AED). With CIA roots and a mission to put lives before profit, the brand needed a digital experience that delivered urgency, clarity, and cinematic storytelling to match the gravity of its work.

Project Overview

We partnered with HeartHero to launch an MVP website and refine its existing brand expression into a cinematic, classified-intel-inspired UI system. The goal was to replace a generic WordPress build with a Webflow experience that immerses users in the product’s mission and introduces the AED with high-impact visuals and narrative flow.


Challenge / Problem

HeartHero had a working prototype and high-level branding, but:

  • The site looked templated, flat, and lacked emotional pull
  • The UX didn’t reflect the urgency of a life-saving product
  • Wordpress limited animation, interaction, and 3D model integration
  • Key visual elements (type, icons, buttons) didn’t align with the “mission-first” tone

They needed a clean, modular MVP site that could grow with the product, along with a unified visual system that matched the cinematic ambition

Strategy

We embraced HeartHero’s roots to develop a design language that felt part government dossier, part high-stakes mission brief. The layout leaned into dark mode, typewriter-style headers, and structured scroll sections with embedded calls-to-action. The result was an experience that prioritized clarity and tension, drawing users into the "why" before showing the "what."

Visually, the refinement emphasized cinematic type scale, consistent iconography, and UI cohesion transforming the brand from generic medtech to a bold digital presence with a mission-driven voice.
